About the WLF

The William Light Foundation is a Not-for-profit Organisation which grew out of the need for the Flinders Ranges communities to create opportunity and preserve environment and heritage.

The closure of the Alinta coalfields in 2015 presented both opportunities and challenges. The foundation has responded to these challenges with a variety of initiatives aimed at maintaining and celebrating the beauty, the culture, the heritage and the environment of the iconic Flinders Ranges and South Australia.

The William Light Foundation is registered as a charity with the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission.
